Selection Procedure – The admission process for engineering courses at SIET is as follows –
Eligibility
B.Tech 1st Year Pass in 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio Technology, Computer Science and Biology.
OR
Diploma in any engineering trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chd or SLIET Longowal or any such exam from any other State Board of Technical Education.
OR
Two year certificate course from SLIET Longowal. Admission will also be made on the basis of rank of JEE (Main). 85% seats shall be open for the candidates within the state and 15% will be open for the candidates from outside the state.
B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in appropriate branch of engineering/technology.br> OR
B.Sc. degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) and passed 10+2 with mathematics as a subject.
Admission will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination. The resultant vacant seats of first year of B. Tech. of session 2019-20 shall also be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit.

- Meritorious Students Scholarship are given to all eligible students at SIET
- SC and ST students shall be provided scholarships as per the Government Norms.
