Library

SIET Library is fully air conditioned, large sized, computerized and highly equipped with latest addition of books. The Library uses Bibliosoft Software package that supports in-house operations of the Library. Record of the Library books, journals/ Magazines is digitized and all the books are barcoded to enable full automation of the library. Reference Section has Encyclopedia, dictionaries, Textbooks and Reference books which are only available for reference. User can make use of these resources within the library. Journal section contains printed journals and e-journals.
Working Hours of the Library
The Library shall remain open on all working days from 9:00 am to 5.00 pm. The issue counter shall be opened at 9.30 am and closed half an hour before the closing of the Library.
Library Rules & Regulations
- Registration should be done to become a library member prior to using the library resources.
- Students are allowed to library only on production of their authorized/valid Identity Cards.
- Enter your name and Sign in the register kept at the entrance counter before entering library.
- Books will be issued on presentation of the library card along with the ID card.
- No discussion is permitted inside the library and silence should be maintained.
- Use of Mobile phones and other audio instruments strictly prohibited in the library premises.
- Show the books and other materials which are being taken out of the library to the staff at the entrance counter.
- Library issued cards are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
- Books issued should be returned on or before the due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
- If the books are lost, then the borrower shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay double cost of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
- Students are required to handle the books carefully; marking with pen/ pencil , writing or highlighting and tearing the pages will be viewed very seriously. and punished accordingly which include debarred from using library resources.

Transportation
Satyam Institute of Engineering & Technology provides transportation facility to all students and staff coming from Amritsar City and surrounding areas.The routes and pickup points are clearly laid out and commuters are required to follow the pickuptimings. The transport facility is also used for various educational purposes like excursion trips, field trips and industrial visits for students and faculty.The charges for transportation are nominal and very affordable.
Medical Facilities
To look into routine medical problems of the students, our college has separate medical room equipped with first aid facilities. A Doctor visits the institute for general health checkup of students. Seminars by medical experts are also organized to bring awareness in students about general health and hygiene.
Sports Facilities
Satyam Institute of Engineering & Technology offers excellent, sports facilities for the students. The college excels in inculcating & encouraging ethos in its students by providing excellent infrastructure. The specialized sports wing includes intensive training by instructors. The laurels and accolades received by the college teams bear testimony to the outstanding performance of this wing. In tune with the objective of all round development of students, various sporting and physical development activities are encouraged amongst students. Hostel
Hostel facilities are regularly monitored and updated by committee consisting of Professor in charge, warden and residents of hostel. SIET is taking due care of the students by providing them homely atmosphere with multistoried hostels which have been constructed and furnished tastefully. The accommodation is separately available for boys and girls.
- The hostels are having attached mess for boarders’ convenience.
- Mess meals/menu are decided by the students keeping in view to provide nutritious food and balanced diets, which is hygienically prepared.
- Campus has its own water supply and power backup system.
- 24 hrs security, water and power supply is provided in the hostel.
- Recreation rooms with indoor Sports, News Room, Cable T.V and Telephone facility.
- Internet facilityis available in the hostel which have 32 Mpbs, leased line Internet connectivity.
- Separate outdoor sports facilities are available for the residents.
- Well equipped gymnasiums available which help the students to keep good physical and mental health.
- Medical facilities are available in hostel in case of emergency SIET type with reputed hospital in Amritsar
- The basic amenities like hot water, water cooler with RO System has been provided free of charge.
- The faculty is accessible to help and counseling the students if needed.
